What started with a more focused range of medical supplies gradually expanded into PPE, healthcare consumables, emergency products and other safety solutions. Wellmien was established in May 2006 by two founders with MBA backgrounds.
Wellmien won a tender from Tesco UK and supplied 50 million EN 14683 Type IIR medical masks.
CE Marking & NHS Supply
Wellmien obtained CE marking for face masks and other disposable PPE and subsequently supplied more than 80 million EN 14683 Type IIR surgical masks to the NHS in the UK.
In July, Wellmien won the tender from NHS, UK and provided more than 80 million pieces of EN14683 Type IIR surgical masks.
In August, Wellmien Surgical Mask was registered with FDA 510K (Registration No: K101000), and other disposable PPE and medical consumables were also registered with US FDA.
In August, a Wellmien factory in Taixing was put into operation, mainly manufacturing surgical kits and face mask.
In October, Wellmien was certified by ISO 13485.
In September, Wellmien Taixing factory passed the validation inspection by Supply Chain Management Systems (SCMS) of the US, and won the tender of male circumcision kits.
